My Cariloha Resort sheets are softer than my Classic sheets. They are also heavier, more expensive, and not the Cariloha set I use most often.
I reach for Classic more because I prefer lighter sheets on my bed. Resort has a smoother sateen finish and more weight to it. Some people will consider that an upgrade. It depends on what you want your sheets to feel like once you are actually under them.

How I tested them
I own the Resort set in queen size and use it on the same mattress and topper as my other queen sheets. That makes it easy to compare the fit, weight, stitching, and feel without changing the rest of the bed.
I have also washed the sheets at home and compared them directly with my Cariloha Classic, Aloha Soft, and Retreat sets.
I did not measure fabric temperature or keep a written count of every wash. When I describe Resort as softer or heavier, I am describing what I notice from using and comparing the sheets at home.

Resort feels different from Classic
When I hold Resort and Classic side by side, the difference is easy to feel.
Resort is smoother and has more weight. Its sateen fabric drapes closely over the bed and around the body. Classic is still very soft, but it feels lighter and less substantial.
Neither one feels like crisp cotton. If you like the cool snap of freshly washed percale, Resort is probably too soft and relaxed for you.
The extra weight is where my opinion changes from the obvious sales pitch. Resort feels more expensive when I first touch it. Once I am sleeping under it, I prefer the lighter Classic sheet.
Someone who likes heavier bedding may have the exact opposite reaction.
Why the weave matters
Cariloha uses a sateen weave for Resort and a twill weave for Classic.
The sateen surface helps give Resort its smoother feel. Cariloha lists Resort at 400 thread count in its FAQ, although the main product page currently leaves that number out of the specifications.
Classic has a confirmed 250 thread count and a twill weave. The numbers make Resort sound like the obvious winner, but thread count does not tell you which set you will prefer in bed.
I notice the weave and weight far more than I notice the difference between 250 and 400 threads on a specification sheet.

The fitted sheet works well on my bed
My Resort fitted sheet fits over my queen mattress and topper without turning bed-making into a wrestling match.
The current design has elastic around the border, added bands across the corners, and labels for the long and short sides. The labels are a small detail, but they save me from starting on the wrong corner.
Cariloha says the fitted sheet works with most mattresses up to 18 inches deep. Measure the mattress with the protector and topper in place. The height of the bare mattress will not tell you how much fabric the fitted sheet needs to cover.
My Resort and Classic fitted sheets both work well on my setup. Fit alone would not persuade me to pay more for Resort.
I would not buy Resort specifically for cooling
Cariloha says its bamboo sheets are temperature regulating and feel three degrees cooler than non-bamboo fabrics. I have not verified that three-degree claim.
The Resort sheets feel smooth and comfortable against my skin. They do not give me the crisp or airy feeling of a lightweight percale sheet.
Classic feels a little cooler to me because there is less weight on top of me. Resort may still be comfortable for someone who sleeps warm but likes heavier bedding. I would simply avoid choosing it on the assumption that the premium model must be the coolest one.
A foam topper, waterproof protector, comforter, and bedroom temperature can all change how warm the bed feels. My best bamboo sheets comparison includes lighter sets that make more sense to me for someone who dislikes heavy bedding.
Washing does not make the wrinkles disappear
Resort comes out of the wash soft, but not crisp.
Cariloha currently recommends cold water, similar colors, mild detergent, and a gentle low-heat dryer cycle. The company also says to avoid bleach, fabric softener, and dryer sheets.
I shake the sheets before drying and avoid leaving them sitting in the dryer. That helps, but it does not give them the smooth appearance of ironed hotel sheets.
Some of the creases become less noticeable once the fitted sheet is stretched over the mattress. The wrinkles have not changed how comfortable the fabric feels.

What I can say about the construction
The stitching on my Resort set is neat. The hems look properly finished, and the fitted-sheet corners do not look carelessly assembled.
I expect that from sheets in this price range.
I cannot give Resort the same long-term durability verdict I gave Classic. My first Classic set dates to 2017, and I have a much longer history with it. Resort feels well made, but I am not going to use one Cariloha set’s age as proof that another set will last equally long.
That distinction matters because Resort’s price suggests a long-term purchase, while Cariloha’s written warranty lasts only one year.

Resort is not an entirely different sheet. It is a softer and heavier version of the Cariloha feel.
If you already have Classic and like its weight, I would keep it. The Resort upgrade makes sense when you specifically want smoother sateen fabric or more weight over you at night.
If you have never owned Cariloha sheets, Classic is the safer place to start. You still get a very soft sheet, and you can decide later whether the added weight of Resort sounds appealing.
The return policy is not completely free
Cariloha allows qualifying sheets to be returned or exchanged within 100 days. You need proof of purchase, and the request must be made within the allowed period.
Cariloha’s written policy says the purchaser is responsible for transportation and handling costs. That is easy to miss when the product page describes a 100-night trial.
The one-year warranty covers qualifying defects in workmanship or materials. It does not cover normal wear from washing and use. Cariloha also lists pilling, stains, tears, odors, and several other types of damage among its exclusions.
Keep your receipt. If you buy through Amazon, Costco, or another retailer, read that seller’s return terms before ordering.
Who I would recommend Resort to
I would recommend Resort to someone who has felt ordinary bamboo-viscose sheets and wants something softer and more substantial.
It also makes sense if you already own Classic and your only complaint is that it feels too light.
I would steer a hot sleeper who dislikes heavy bedding toward Classic or one of the lighter sets in my bamboo sheet comparison. Resort is also difficult to justify when price matters more than having the softest Cariloha set.
Would I buy them again?
I would buy Resort again for its softness, but it would not be my first Cariloha purchase.
The fitted sheet works on my bed. The stitching looks good. The sateen fabric feels noticeably smoother than Classic.
I still sleep better with the lighter Classic set, and that is the one I would spend my own money on first.
Resort is worth the extra money when its heavier, softer feel is exactly what you want. If you are hoping the higher price automatically brings better cooling, fit, or sleep, I have not found that to be true in my bed.
